Butwal. Police have started investigation into the Rupendehi massacre. Police have started questioning the relatives of the deceased from the operator of an agricultural firm to investigate the murder of five people who were killed in a spade attack at Tilottama-10 Mainhiya.
An investigation team led by SSP Raj Kumar Baidwar has questioned Krishna Pun, director of Gangadevi Agricultural Firm, relatives of the deceased, sister-in-law and sons and daughters of the deceased, said Khadga Bahadur Khatri.
Earlier, police have arrested Jhpendra Singh Sinjali, 32, of Surkhet on suspicion of murder. According to the police, it has been confirmed that Jhpendra Singh Sinjali has been killed so far. He has given his statement to the police about the murder. However, the exact reason for the murder could not be ascertained, police said.
The bodies of the deceased have been brought to Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal for postmortem. Police spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Khatri said, “The main people are still Sinjali. Why did they kill him?”
